Empowering institutions to effective assess academic program utility and effectiveness

The Opportunity

My team and I partnered with Citi to manage and enhance the experience of their retail partner credit card acquisitions and servicing platform.

Bridging Credit Card Acquisition and Servicing

A colleague and I created this flow for the client to serve as a reference for how exactly the acquisitions process or application flow relates to the servicing portion of the experience. My team and I worked to contextualize our designs as best as possible through efforts like this.

In terms of artifacts, I primarily produced user flows and annotated wireframes to communicate designs to the client and their remote development team. With dozens of retail partners, each with their own unique experience specifications, documenting it all was a great exercise in attention to detail and systems-thinking.

Elevating Intention Through Systems-Thinking

I regularly collaborate with other designers and front-end lead to iterate on design system - fleshing out guidelines and tweaking existing patterns to improve user experience.

Driving Alignment and Establishing Direction

I created and facilitated team charter workshop during a tumultuous time for the team. The session was a success in aligning us on what we do, what we don't do, how we can better work amongst ourselves and across the company.

We come back to this artifact every 6 months to track progress and discuss how we can continue to evolve to produce more value for the company and our customers.

Increasing Transparency and Fostering Cross-Team Collaboration

I consistently evaluate how we can be more visible and transparent in our work, facilitating more opportunity to collaborate with non-product stakeholders:

  • Created a bi-weekly sharing and feedback session with a rotating group of customer success team members

  • Implemented a weekly digest on design work progress, wherein coworkers across the company can view, comment, share, etc.

  • Created a design wiki that aims to educate the rest of the company on what we do and why we do it, and serve as a repository for

  • Created a subject matter expertise knowledge bank so we can better take advantage of all the experience and expertise across the company

Looking Forward

I am exploring vision work that supports company strategic objectives, particularly Eduphoria's goal of expanding to out-of-state markets. For example, a brand and UI convergence that allows us to:

  • establish consistency across the customer journey

  • increase usability through increased contrast and sense of hierarchy

  • support a "decoupling" product strategy

  • make a good impression on new markets and new users where we don't have as much of a reputation

  • reduce cost of change - it's only going to be more costly the longer we wait
